Hello, hello. :D I’m pretty good. Sorry to hear things are catastrophic with exams. :( I’m happily out for the summer, but working a god awful job until June. Then, I’m working with all my little babies at a daycare. :D Yay!! lol Well, sure!! Anything you’d like would be mauve-lous, dawling. ;) Haha
Today I had one of the greatest experiences. I really truly felt God wash over me entirely for the first time in so long.
I was supposed to meet Momma at Panera for lunch and she invited Ani. Ani had to finish up something before they could leave, so I decided to walk around Hobby Lobby while waiting. I pulled into the parking lot and while I was getting my keys and such situated to go in, I saw an older man walking in my direction. He was limping with his cane. I assumed he was walking towards the truck parked next to me.
Boy, was I wrong!!
He stood by my window until I looked up at him. Once I realized I shot him a smile and rolled my window down half way. (It was in a slightly sketchy part of town.)
He asked if he could say a prayer over me and I replied with a smile and a cheerful “Sure!!”
He prayed for me, and he asked God to watch over me and to lay His blessings on me.
When he finished, I thanked him and he said, “Something good is coming your way.” Then he winked at me.
He walked away and I rolled up my window. I looked down at my hands and noticed that my entire body was covered in goose bumps and I was desperately on the verge of tears. But, good tears. Not sad ones.
While thinking about it later in the day, I realized that’s the way we as Christians should always receive those wonderful blessings. Many of us see someone like that walking towards us and we try to ignore them or “runaway”, so to speak. We should receive those people with wide open arms. And I am so very happy that I did. :)
Can’t wait to find out what’s coming my way!! ;)
Hmm. That is odd. lol Well, it was a few weeks ago and I was going to, but it was rainy and gross. Gotta be cautious of those sicky germs. :P haha I am doing a 5K Saturday called Go Johnny Go. It’s in remebrance of the guy that owned a gym in Lebanon. He recently passed away from cancer.
I’m not perfect. I’m never going to be the prettiest one in the room. Not everyone likes me. I don’t have guys all over me. I have breakouts. I eat snacks after 7 pm. I forget to do my homework. I don’t always get straight A’s. I don’t get a million text messages a day. I stay up late watching television. I over-analyze things. I’m sarcastic. I sometimes offend people by mistake. I don’t know all the answers. But perfect isn’t everything, and it doesn’t mean I don’t need someone to love me for my flaws.
